Chloe's birth was a c-section. Her c-section was because of Thomas' Birth Story (Part 1) (Part 2) and his birth ending in a c-section after 18hrs of labor. After getting pregnant with Chloe we decided to go ahead and schedule a c-section for her instead of trying for a VBAC. There were just too many risks with VBACs and for our family we decided it wasn't worth the risks. I sympathize with the women who struggle with c-section births! I will have all c-section births and never had a baby vaginally. In some ways it is hard for me as a woman and a mom to know all of my babies will be birthed by c-section but mostly I am simply grateful! Grateful that we have modern medicine that can allow me to have a c-section. Thomas was not coming out, period. I pushed for hours, he was not coming. I knew a c-section was my best option with him, and the risks of a VBAC were not worth it. In the end I have 2 beautiful babies and other than having to wait approximately 18-24 months before another baby my doctors have told me I can have probably as many babies as I want by cesarian. Let me clarify though, I am not planning on giving Michelle Duggar (19 Kid and Counting) a run for her money or anything so, I am thinking we will be just fine with the number of children I can have by c-section. The Lord is in complete control and knew that I would have c-section babies. Cesarian births is one thing many women struggle with and it shouldn't be! Your babies have a beautiful birth story just as if they were born vaginally. Your child in the grand scheme of life will never care how they came into the world. It will matter how they are raised! So ladies, please...please...please...focus on raising your children and don't focus on the way they came into this world! =) Show them Christ and raise them to be godly children that is what will matter in the end. My next post will be my baby's beautiful birth story!
