Gender Prediction

Gender prediction for baby #2!!  Since we are finding out this time I will go ahead and post this so people can get their votes in before we find out!! :)

It is fun to compare this one to the one I did with Thomas!

Cravings:  I have craved more Italian food!! Pizza, spaghetti, etc. I am not sure what that is suppose to predict. Except that I have been able to stomach vegetables and on occasion have craved salads (This NEVER happened when I was pregnant with Thomas).  I would have been fine eating a burger and fries every meal with Thomas. haha.  Of course I didn't because I would have been as big as a house.  I have also read that with girls you don't eat as many calories.  I dont think I have eaten as much with this pregnancy as I did with Thomas so... I think this means GIRL!

Heart rate: This one is a little harder since I am so early. But I think it has been lower than what I was with Thomas.  At 12 weeks the hearbeat was mid 150's. I think this one means BOY!

Shape of Belly: Watermelon or Basketball? I am not sure?!? I have not gained weight anywhere else but the belly so that usually means boy. I think this ones means BOY

Hair on Legs: More hairy = boy and same or less = girl.  I would say mine has stayed about the same. I think this one means GIRL

"Prettiness":  So I have also heard that if you "glow" you are having a boy if you feel like your acne is worse and your hair is aweful and you just don't seem to feel as pretty or as put together as before you were pregnany then it is a girl. They say this is because the girl takes away from the mother's beauty. So for this one I think it means GIRL! My acne was worse my hair is completely out of control and overall trying to feel like i am put together and "feel pretty" has been more difficult since being pregnant. Hence why I have not taken many pictures throughout the pregnancy. =)

Morning Sickness: This one is hard as well.  I have had more than with Thomas but still not too bad.  So...this one could go either way... GIRL/BOY!

Chinese Gender Predictor: GIRL!

Mother intuition: I go back and forth all the time and I had a dream the other night it as a boy.  But my initial gut feeling is girl!! I was right with Thomas so this one will have to be GIRL!!

BOY = 3
GIRL = 6

Please take the poll and let me know what you think! I can't wait to find out in just a few weeks!!! :)

Goetze Family Christmas Tree Decorating Night

My family has a tradition where all the kids come together with mom and dad and we go get out family Christmas tree.  This was such a big thing when we were kids because my parents would let us eat all the candy we want and drink all the soda we want!! haha.

Here are a few pictures of us shopping for the tree! Thomas did great today and was a trooper through all the fun events.

Baby George #2

Because of the bleeding and a few other small complications with this pregnancy I have had quite a few ultrasounds. Our most recent one was last week.  The ultrasound tech checked every thing and the baby was growing fine and looked good. He measured the neck for down syndrome and every thing checked out ok. We werent really concerned about this since my doctor said she thought I would be fine without having all the other blood work done to check for it. They could have told us the gender if the baby would have cooperated but of course baby did not! :) Thats ok! It would have been a guess at this point any way.  They still want to continue to see me through my pregnancy so we will be going back the beginning of January and then we will find out the gender for sure. :) So exciting to find out this time.

Here is a picture from the ultrasound.  It is amazing how much this baby looks like a baby even at 12 week gestation.

12 Weeks Pregnant

I am going to try to be more faithful with these this time around. haha.

  • Most of her critical systems are fully formed!
  • She's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which her organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.
  • She's now developing her reflexes -- if you poke her body, she'll likely move.
  • She's opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes, too.
  • Her brain is developing fast!

Information from www.thebump.com

Maternity Clothes: yes and no! Maternity shirts are definitely more comfortable for me but pants I can go either way. Dresses obviously are still easy to

Gender: We don't know yet. But we are finding out this time around!! yay!! =) Im excited to find out since we waited last time.  It was so much fun to wait but I am excited to have it the other way this time.

Movement: I think I have already felt this baby move.  I know that is pretty much unheard of.  But it actually doesn't surprise too much me because at 8 weeks when we had an ultrasound the baby was so squirmy that she could hardly get a good picture of him or her!

What I Miss:
ENERGY! Oh my! I am so drained ALL the time!!!

Sleep: I have had insomnia with this pregnancy.  It has been awful.  My body wants to sleep but my mind wont go to sleep.  One night of bad or no sleep I take a half of a Unisom pill and it knocks me out enough to sleep but I still wake up to Derek getting home from work and Thomas crying. So that is nice!

Cravings: It varies and not as exact as with Thomas.  I still have the cravings when nothing else will satisfy.  That is starting to go away, thankfully.

What We Are Looking Forward To: I am looking forward to looking pregnant and not fat. haha.  Right now I just look like a put on a few pounds. lol.

*Please ignore my awful makeup and hair in this picture.  I was exhausted!! :)

Eating: Thomas is drinking formula 2-3 times a day.  Once a day I try to put

Sleep: - Sleeping between 10-12hrs each night.  Sometimes longer but thats not the norm.

Clothing: Thomas is wearing 12-18 month clothes.

Talking: Thomas talks all the time.  He is also starting to use sign language for "more" and "all done." He also blows kisses and gives high-fives. So many communication things are clicking this month! It is amazing to watch everything click.

New Things: His sign language and communication skills for sure.  He is also eating almost anything we eat at dinner and lunch.  So he is getting all sorts of table foods now!

Big News!! & 200th post!!!

Post # 200!! Yay!!! What s fun life and 200 posts! But on to our big news!!! Well, I'm pregnant...again!!! :) That's right!!! Baby George #2 will be arriving in June 2013! I have had a few minor complications and even though I am only 9 weeks I have had 5 ultrasounds already and 6 doctor appointments. At the 8 week appointment they pretty much cleared me, saying everything is looking fine and better. So, I still have 1 more "specialist" appointment at 12 weeks to check up on everything but my doctor seems to think everything is fine.

A few family members and people have asked if this was planned or a surprise and we answer that by saying it was a, "oh that was fast!" haha. I knew I wanted at least my first 2 children close together in age but since I was still breastfeeding Thomas we weren't so sure that I would get pregnant so quickly again. Well, I did!! We are very excited and can't wait to meet this newest little addition to our family.

A few things that have been hard about this pregnancy:
- I had to stop breastfeeding Thomas and that was about the hardest thing I have had to do! My doctor told me it was best to wean him to formula. Thankfully he was 10 months old when I started the weaning process so he really only has about 1 1/2 months on formula before I would start weaning him to whole milk anyway.
- chasing a 10 month old has made this one harder. Before with T I was sitting at a desk and that made pregnancy a little easier.

A few things that have been easier about this pregnancy so far:
- I don't have to dress up for work everyday. Most days I am in workout pants and a T shirt!
- Naps!!! I nap or rest each time Thomas naps. This had been good for me but not good for having a clean house.  Haha.

I am sure there will be many more fun comparisons with the two different pregnancies! For now...I will leave you with a picture of our little one!! :)

10 Months Old

I'm late...again! Oh well, at least it is getting posted I guess that is the main thing. =)

On October 17, 2012 Thomas turned 10months old! He is getting so big and is learning so much.  It blows my mind the things he learns each day.

Stats: 22.5 lbs.  (This is from our scales...so I don't know that it is completely accurate but generally the boy is gaining some weight.)

Eating: Thomas is still eating 4x a day and then baby food in between.  He has started eating table food.  I give him little bits of whatever we are eating. He loves it so much he is deciding he doesn't want baby food a lot of the time.  He still LOVES cheerios and if he wont eat anything else, I always know he will eat Cheerios.

Sleep: - He sleeps 11-12hrs each night and has just recently started going that long between eating.  So I am not waking up with him at all to eat in the middle of the night.  This took a few nights of coaxing and making him realize he doesnt need to eat but now it is the norm. I am a happy Momma for sure!! =)

Clothing: Thomas is wearing 12month clothes.

Talking: Thomas talks all the time.  He also talks into the screen of my iPhone.  We regularly "talk" to Daddy on the phone (even if he is not really on the phone). It is so precious.  Also, when Derek leaves for work we always say, "Bye Daddy! I love you." Thomas has always repeated some jibber jabber that didnt really resemble what we were trying to get him to say but he consistently says the same jibber jabber if that makes sense.  He tries so hard. Just the other day he said it to Derek when he was leaving without being solicited. It was the sweetest thing!! =)

New Things: He has always liked being outside but now he likes playing outside and we have some neighbor friends that are around his age (within a few months) and they all play together now and it is so much fun! Thomas has a car that our old neighbors left for him and he really likes riding it and even just sitting on it. If we go outside and don't let him play on it, he gets upset. It is so precious.

9 Months Old - 9/17/2012

9 Months!! Crazy how our boy has grown.  This post is really late because Derek has needed the laptop for school and since he doesn't get home until 11pm most nights I am just now getting around to writing this post!

We had a doctor appointment this month and her only concern was that since 4 months he has progressively gone down in his weight percentage (He is still gaining weight, just not very fast).  He was 92% at 4 months and now at 8 months he was 50%.  I still do not think he is lacking in weight at all so I am just going to keep doing what I am doing.  He is soo active right now I think that is the issue.

Stats:  20.7lbs (50%)   29" (75%)

Eating/Sleeping:   Nursing: Thomas is nursing 4 times a day and sleeping about 10hrs at night before wanting to wake up to eat. He is slowly becoming disinterested in 1 of his 2 day time feedings.  I have found out that if I pump he is more likely to take a bottle than nurse. I think that this is him already beginning to wean himself.  Maybe he will be an easy one to wean. Baby food: he is eating 3 times a day and I have upped him to the stage 3 baby food since he crawling more now.  I am still working this out and how I am suppose to make this stage 3 type food at home. Cheerios have become a great snack for him and he is loving it.  Thomas also eats cheese as a snack too.  He is great at the pincer grasp and pick up the cheerios and cheese on his own. Sleeping: He is sleep 10-12hrs at night and has recently started waking up at 6am.  This is a little early for me.  I was really liking the 7-8am times frame. Im not going to lie.  I hope he goes back to that and this is just a phase.

Clothing: He is definitely in 12 months clothes.

Talking:  Thomas' first word was "ball" as far as correlating the item with the name. The other thing Thomas is saying is "Opa" this is the name for my dad sometimes it is Opa sometimes Thomas says "O" and some times it is "Pa." But either way he LOVES his Opa! It is so precious!!

New Things:  Thomas is continuing to crawl and cruise around.  He is talking more and is starting to correlate people with their names. He loves going around the house and pointing at our pictures.  I will go over who all is in the picture, he just smiles and smiles.  I love it!! My dad (Thomas' Opa) has been taking him on rides on the "Mule" not the animal but the ATV farm vehicle.  This has quickly become Thomas' favorite thing to do! It is his and Opa's thing. I think that is about it! He has also learned this month how to lower himself after he pulls up.  So, in that regard it doesnt scare me as much! =) He is growing up so fast!!

Cinnamon Sugar Muffins

I posted on my facebook a picture of some muffins I cooked for a church staff meeting that was held here at our house.  So, now I am making the recipe a blog post.  I love this muffin recipe and I stumbled upon it on Pinterest (Oh Pinterest! How I love thee). All the ingredients were ones that I had in my pantry.  I LOVE recipes like that.  I knew on Sunday night that they were coming over Monday morning! Ahh! I am the kind of hostess that likes to have a clean house and something warm to feed my guests.  On a side note, hosting people in my home is one of my most favorite things to do!! I love it. I love having people in my home and I love feeding them something yummy! Even if it is a whipped up boxed brownie mix. But this time I had the staff coming over at 9am. Sunday night I searched Pinterest frantically trying to find something that I could cook from items I had in my pantry (I must add, it was time to go grocery shopping. So I didnt have much at all!) Okay, here is the recipe!

The blog that I got the recipe from called them French Breakfast Muffins but I am going to call them, Cinnamon Sugar Muffins. It calls for sugar, butter, more sugar and more butter, a little cinnamon and you know, more butter! Sounds like my kind of muffin (and it was!!!) =)

1/3 c. butter, melted

1/2 c. sugar
1 egg (preferably room temperature)
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Topping (option: cut topping in half - I had a ton left over)

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F

Sift the dry ingredients together. Once sifted add the wet ingredients and stir them. DO NOT over mix.  (What happens when you over mix?? Well, I don't know but those were the instructions I got so, I followed them and am passing the same warning on to you!! haha). scoop the batter into a greased muffin pan. After the batter was distributed it made 11 muffins not 12.  I felt like mine were a little skimpy so it is not a 12 muffin recipe for sure.  I may try doubling it next time to make a few more and then maybe they will not be so skimpy. These muffins cook for 20-25mins.

If you decide to make all the topping and not half it the original recipe said you could use it to dip your muffin in as you eat it. Sounds good and it adds a little more butter and sugar! =)

Let me know if you try these!! My husband thought they were the "bomb diggity" so I think I will be making them again! =)

Coupon Steals!

I have recently had a few coupon steals that have made couponing so worth it! I try to feed my family healthy meals so at times it is hard to use coupons when they come through because some of the foods are not very healthy.  Occasionally there are good deals and you just can't pass it up! I have had a few of those recently.  The first one was at Target.

I was out for a leisure Target trip. This is a common occurrence with the this awful hot summer we have had in NC.  It was something I could do to get out of the house with Thomas and not be scorched by this heat.  Thankfully, I think fall weather is on its way!!  Well, back to my deal.  I decided to take a few of my coupons and browse their clearance and sales to see what I could find.  I had a $3 off 2 CoverGirl items  which full price still does not make it a steal but helps if you already need something.  But, to my surprise, they had their mascara on clearance! I looked at the price and it was 50% off.

I did the math really quick and realized I could get 2 mascaras for a little over .50 cents a piece!! Seriously?!? now that is a steal! So, needless to say, I swiped 2 mascaras and paid my $1.24. Thus, a successful leisure trip to Target!! =)

My second coupon deal was for a new kind of ice cream. It is called Front Porch and it is made in North Carolina (Mooresville, NC) How cool is that! This ice cream is only a pint and it is $3.69 a pint.  When the coupon came through, I kept it just in case they went on BOGO. Low and behold it did!! The coupon that I had was for $2.50 off 2.  So I was able to get 2 of them for $1.19.  Seriously! I had 2 coupons so I bought 4 pints of ice cream! My favorite was the Red Velvet.  Derek liked all the flavors so much he was asking if there was a way to find more of those coupons. haha.  Maybe more will come through and Food Lion will put them back on BOGO!

This is why I like couponing.  It save a little bit of money each week and occasionally you get lucky and get some really good deals!!

8 Months Old - 8/17/11

I cannot believe I have not written in a whole month!! It has been a crazy month around here.  Thomas and I have been to Alaska and back! He has changed so much in the past month it is crazy. I will catch everyone up on life so soon.

For now, here is Thomas' 8 Month post!

Stats: I tried weighing Thomas with my weight on the scale and then picking him up.  If it is accurate, he is about 21lbs.  I am thinking that might be a little heavy but not unreasonable since he was 19lbs at his 6 month appointment.

Eating/Sleeping:  Thomas has always been a good eater form the very beginning but in the last month he has started eating "puffs", "Mum-Mums", and cheese along with his baby food.  I have been making his baby food and for the most part I make all of it.  I have figured out it is not that hard even to make enough just for the week.  I will decided which fruit and veggie he will have for the week and I buy them when I buy mine and Derek's food for the week.  It has been so easy and Thomas is eating it better now too.  For a while he preferred the store bought Gerber baby food.

Sleeping took a toll on him when traveling to Alaska.  It took about a week for him to get back into only waking up once a night. He was so spoiled in Alaska because he got to sleep in the bed with me every night.  The night we got home and put him in his own bed he was not happy about it and screamed for about 30min then decided to go on to sleep. After that he did pretty good other than thinking he needed to wake up and eat every 4hrs throughout the night.  That has changed back now and he is sleeping his normal 7-9hrs and on occasion he will give me 6hrs. =)

Clothing: 9-12 Months.  If I buy more clothes now, they are 12months.

Talking:  "ma-ma" and "da-da" are still his words.  I am thinking he is beginning to realize who he is talking to when he says our names. I am not certain because sometimes he calls random people ma-ma.

New Things:  The boy is crawling EVERYWHERE!! It is exhausting cruising around after  him all over the house.  It is also so precious because he knows when I leave the room and will follow me wherever I am.  He mostly follows me into the kitchen.

He is pulling up on things (everything).  This scares me a little.  When he was sitting and would fall over he didn't have very far to go and it didn't scare me as bad.  Now that he is standing it is a lot harder and further fall.  This one scares me a little. (So, any seasoned momma out there with advice on this - should I try to stand behind him every time he pulls up so that I can break his fall or let him  fall and learn???)

His balance is strengthening and I think he is at least desiring to walk.  For a while he had no desire but to crawl around on the floor.  I was fine with that but it didnt take long and now he is wanting to walk.

Climbing stairs has become his favorite thing to do.  If one of us is upstairs and he hears us talking he will try his best to get up the stairs as fast as he can.  It is adorable.

He has become quite the little "ham" and does everything he can to get me a laugh at him.  He is so adorable and I am dying to catch one of his little "cheesing" episodes on camera.  It is so cute!!

Lots of new things this month!! I leave you with the 8 month picture!!

Since we were adding 2 new family members this year (1 through birth and 1 through marraige) I decided it would be a great year to do family pictures! Honey Did List!

So, I dont have a lot of jewelry but I have enough that my jewelry tree was always falling over.  I could never keep it level and I was afraid that my "real" jewelry would get lost in all the cosmetic jewelry.  A week or two ago I bought some hooks so that I could better separate the jewelry and get it off the tree and off the bathroom counter since we don't have very much room as it is.

Thomas and I went with my parents to their farm in VA last week for a few days.  Derek had to work so he came up on Saturday and stayed the day and we came back together Saturday night. When I got home Derek had not only cleaned the house but hung the hooks and waited for me to organize my jewelry the way I wanted.  I was so excited.  He had also hung Thomas' Frog that holds his bath toys!

It was so fun to come home and have those things up! It feels much more organized and not so cluttered in our bathroom now!! I wish I had before pictures but I didn't take any.  But here is the final product.  I like the way it organizes the necklaces so that they don't get all tangled together.

I have such a sweet husband!! Instead of a Honey Do List.  This is my Honey Did List!! =)

7 Months Old!!

I cant believe Thomas is over a 1/2 year old!! He is growing so fast. Here is his 7 month picture:

7 months old
Stats: I dont have any stats for this month.  Next month I will weigh him and try to get his length.  Then we go back to the Pediatricians office when he is 9 months old.

Eating/Sleeping: I have been giving him baby food for a month now and I have made some and bought some.  It is not hard to make it but I am still trying to decide if I want to keep making it or buy already jarred.  It is a big decision for me because I have thought for a long time that I would just make it but it is turning out to not be as cheap as I thought it would and he likes the Gerber food better.  We will see what I end up doing. It is definitely easier to pick him up some already made while I am at the store buying our groceries. He is sleeping great.  All night still and he is napping like a champ almost every day.  He has bad days but that is expected.  But for the most part he has a morning nap and afternoon nap for about 2-3hours each time.  I am able to get so much done during his naps.  During the morning nap I do some Bible Study and drink some coffee then workout and if he is taking a really good nap I can get a shower.  It is AMAZING! =)

Clothing: 9-12 Months.  He has a few 6 month clothing items that still fit but they are getting fewer and fewer! =)

Talking: In the last month he has distinctly said, "da-da", "ma-ma" and "no-no."  Right now, everyone is, "ma-ma." If he wants the attention of a person the just starts saying "ma-ma."  It is very cute and funny.

New Things: He is getting up on all 4's and rocking.  He has not figured out how to move his arms and legs together to crawl but I think he will figure it out very, very soon.  He usually gets up on all 4's and then falls and army crawls to whatever he wants.

Also, he is non-stop.  It was hard to get his picture in the chair this month.  Here are a few outtakes.

Life with a 6 Month Old

6 Months old seemed to be a turning point for Thomas.  He changed his napping schedule to 2 naps a day instead of napping between each feeding.  He has always been a consistent baby as soon as I got him set to a schedule. So that fact that he has changed his nap schedule was wonderful and hard at the same time.  It took me only about a week to figure out his new consistent schedule.  He wakes up after sleeping exactly 12 hours (I usually feed him once during the 12hrs). And he eats, plays and about 2hrs later he is ready for a morning nap. If he decides to take good naps he is 2-3hrs at this nap time. He wakes up nurses, eats some baby food and is up for 3hrs.  He is then ready for an afternoon nap.
such a consistent little fellow. I am so happy about this new nap schedule.  Everyone has told me that by the time you have something down they change it on you.  So, I am appreciating this as much as I can right now because who knows when he will not be so predictable and we will be in for another change. =) But thus far 6 months has been a welcome change.  I like an orderly house and these long nap times has given me the opportunity to feel like my house is not a disaster zone every day.  It is by no means spick and span but it is at least orderly and that is all I can ask for right now and for the remainder of the days that I have children. The other new 6month thing is baby food.  I have so much fun making and feeding Thomas baby food.  That is something I look forward to each day.  I know it will eventually become one more thing I have to do and not so new for both of us but for now, I really enjoy it. So, 6 months, I welcome you and all the challenges and wonderful things you bring! Over all, I love being a mom and cant wait to be a mom again one day (Im not pregnant) I just know that I want more children (and a lot of them). =)

"Loving the Little Years"

So, I mentioned in the last post that I am reading a book well here it is! Loving the Little Years I finished it the night I wrote the last post.

This is the first book I have completed since Thomas has been born. It was such a good book.  My neighbor was telling me about it and I said, I have got to read that book! She said she was almost done and I could borrow her copy when she was done.  By the end of the day it was on my door. I was so excited.  I started reading it right away. It is a book that once you start it is really hard to put down.

I loved that this book made me think about the right now, with one child and looking ahead to multiple children.  I want a lot of children and this book was such an encouragement. Because I also like an orderly house and most of the time those do not come hand in hand. =)

Some highlights from this book for me were (these are not quotes just some ideas and thoughts I pulled from what she said):

- As long as my attitude is in shape that is what really matters.  My house can be a wreck but as long as I have an attitude that is pleasing to the Lord and gracious to my children we are doing alright.

- Is my annoyance with my children because of my own selfishness?? I need to watch my own selfish nature as much as I need to guide my children to not be selfish. (guilty of this already in my child's 1st 6 months of life)

-  Take interest in your children individually.  It is not their fault you had an army worth of children.  Make sure you know each one and what they want and what they like.  (This gave me the idea that when we have children old enough it would be really neat to let each one have a night where they stay up about 30min later than the rest of the kids and Derek and I can invest in each child and learn their likes and their dislikes and really know each child individually).

- Get to the heart of the child when there is a disagreement or fight not just settle the argument.  She gave the example of her children fighting over a flashlight. She asked them who was more important their sibling or the flashlight.  Obviously, the sibling.  Explain to them that they don't need to let an item not as important get in the way of loving their sibling.

- If your children want to help, let them! Even if it is not convenient for me or I can do it quicker.  Let them help especially cooking dinner or baking something. I can't let me selfishness claim that sweet time with my child.

- "Me Time" is okay! If the infant needs to cry in their crib for a few minutes so you can get a shower it is okay! This is a big one for me especially when Thomas was a tiny baby.  All I wanted was a shower and I felt like I couldnt get one with out him screaming his head off.  And then I felt like a bad mom for just letting him cry when all he needed was mommy.  So, this was encouraging because I have had to do that before.

- Me time is okay but a mom also has to realize the being a mom is a wonderful thing and outside of finding your identity in Christ, your identity comes from being a wife and a mom and that is a good thing! =)

This was so encouraging and these are just a few things that I pulled away from this book.  I will buy it for other mom especially new mommas that want multiple children!

This book was about 100 pages and after finishing this one I have started a 200 page book (maybe it wont take me twice as long! lol) Shepherding a Child's Heart

All these books that are out about leading a child and guiding them to love Christ more than just obey instructions that come from a parent.  I am learning so much about parenting already and I love it!

C25K

I finally decided I needed something for consistent exercise and until recently Thomas would not nap consistently long enough for me to do a workout video so I decided to do something I could do with him.  I chose to train for a "Couch to 5K".  Thomas loves his stroller so this worked out so well.  The week I started the training I was at my parents house and my mom was telling me about this running program she is starting.  We realized it was the same thing!?! And we started the exact same day! So crazy, but we decided we would use that as accountability for each other. This week, before the heat set in my mom and I mapped out our 3.1miles and ran it.  Little did we know my brothers (Kenneth and Patrick) and Patrick's girlfriend would show up at different points of the run with signs encouraging us to finish the race! lol.  It was so funny.  They had cold water and cold wash clothes at random places along out run.  I finished it with my best time yet! 35minutes pushing Thomas in a stroller.  Since I was running I don't have any pictures but this one that I took before my mom came in.  She was only 7minutes behind me.  It was so much fun!  I feel so accomplished having started and finished this. And now that it is scorching hot, Thomas is (thankfully) napping good and I am going to start "30 Day Shred" as my new workout! I am going to borrow it from a friend and will start hopefully next week! yay!! =) Here is a picture of my crazy family that I love so much!

Super Baby Food

Okay, I just felt the need to post about this book! I LOVE it!! It has any information you might want to know about making baby food for your baby. It goes all the way up through toddler age children.  It has been so helpful and I have not even gotten past the baby food section of the book.  If I have a question about something with baby food, the index is amazing and I can always find the answer. I cannot rave about this book enough.  If you plan to make your own baby food (which so far I have LOVED doing) you need this book! My neighbor left this for me when she moved across the world.  She said she did not need it anymore and said it was her favorite book ever and that I should feel honored she is leaving it to me! haha! I totally get where she was coming from! And I didn't understand it then, I thought she was being a little dramatic but now I understand why she was so crazy about this book! Well, enough about the baby food book.  Now that Thomas is sleeping regular naps I have been able to crack more books.  I am reading one now that I have only 30 pages left (Hope I can finish this soon). I will post about it!! Stay tuned!!

I will leave you with a picture of Thomas wearing his Daddy's security hat! =)
